An important part of being a first year teacher is reflecting on your teaching in an effort to see where you can improve, and coming up with ways to make sure that lessons are going smoothly and students are getting the most out of your class. It is also important to have a plan to continue to learn and improve into your first few years of teaching and beyond. I spent some time this semester reflecting on what I’ve learned and how I want to utilize what I know, and improve in certain areas. I have linked below a professional development essay I put together that outlines my plan for my first year of teaching as well as my more long term goals.
